Last week Trust leaders convened for the fourth Heads Seminar of the year, a dedicated Joint Planning Day focused on the vital theme of inclusive education. This event underscores our ongoing commitment to ensuring every child can belong, participate, achieve and thrive, marking the second consecutive year our leadership has dedicated a full seminar to this critical topic. The seminar was hosted at Willow Brook Primary School, a fitting venue following its recent achievement of Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Flagship Status.
As inclusion remains a primary focus of the national education agenda, our leaders engaged in high-level sessions exploring the strategic, pedagogical, and practical dimensions of a truly inclusive school culture.
The seminar was organised into three specialised strands: Inclusion, Pedagogy, and Leadership. Workshops led by staff from across the Trust covered essential topics, including provision for pupils with EHCPs, adaptive teaching excellence, and building organisational capability to meet rising complexity.
Throughout the day, participants challenged the traditional boundaries of mainstream education. By prioritising belonging by design and engineering excellence for our most vulnerable learners, we continue to refine the systems that drive exceptional outcomes for all. These strategic choices ensure our schools remain at the forefront of educational reform, built on a foundation of equity and social justice.
