Bramford’s Marathon Founders Day Fundraising

To mark our fifth Founders Day, celebrations have been taking place across the Trust. All schools enjoyed an assembly on what it means to be a Griffin and this year’s theme of Utopia.

Community service is always at the centre of Founders Day activities; it is a chance for students to spend time giving back to both their local and wider communities. This year a number of our schools decided to use this day to fundraise for our preferred charity, the NSPCC, coinciding with our CEO, Ange Tyler’s, marathon fundraising. Across the trust there were coffee mornings, cake sales, sponsored rowing, raffles and much more.

Students from Bramford Primary took part in a sponsored marathon challenge inspired by Ange and smashed their target of completing 20 marathons in one day by achieving over 21! All year groups took park with the nursery class completing a heroic mile between them! Their hard work paid off as staff and students managed to raise over £3000 for the NSPCC.

Seeing the efforts and support of the young Griffins has made Ange even more determined during her training runs.
