GAF 2014

Celebrating the arts

The theme this year was ‘Conflict and Resolution’

Our first ever Griffin Arts Festival took place in the summer of 2014, and explored the theme ‘conflict and resolution’.

It featured a selection of fantastic opportunities, ranging from visits to the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and Royal Opera House, to in-house workshops from RnB Singers/Dancers from Brick City, Shaking up Shakespeare, local Zumba instructors and other artists who helped our students develop their artistic skills and create a culture of celebrating arts in their school, family and community. On Friday 4th July each school held their own showcase where the work and experiences from the week were presented to all those involved, as well as special guests from the community.

London Residential

Students came to London and camped in Epping Forest and took part in an incredible menu of artistic extravaganzas. The residential ended in a showcase at Riverley Primary and was the first time that our young Griffins from 12 primary schools worked together to create something incredible. We knew that this was the start of something that would evolve and develop and become even greater than we had initially imagined.

Why hurry over beautiful things? Why not linger and enjoy them?

Help make the difference

GAF is currently solely funded by the schools and GST. It is through the hard work of our staff that GAF has been such a great success.

As GAF grows, we want to sustain the quality of experiences each students receives during the two weeks. By donating to GAF you are helping our students see beyond their immediate surroundings and become exposed to the wonders of classical art.
