Celebrating the arts

This year’s theme is ‘Family’

The Griffin Arts Festival (GAF) is the annual June celebration of the arts across each Griffin Schools Trust (GST) school.

The Griffin Arts Festival was set up in 2014, to acknowledge the importance of the arts to our founders who value the creative as much as the academic in the lives of our children, young people and the adults who work with them. We continue to deliver rich, artistic experiences for our children and colleagues on themes that are engaging and challenging.

The Griffin Arts Festival was set up in 2014, to acknowledge the importance of the arts to our founders who value the creative as much as the academic in the lives of our children, young people and the adults who work with them. Having had a number of successful festivals we are now looking forward to celebrating again this year. We will continue to deliver rich, artistic experiences for our children and colleagues on themes that are engaging and challenging.

The Griffin Art Festival

comprises of:

  • An annual arts competition for year 5s, with 10 winners from each school participating in the London Experience, visiting landmarks like the Globe, the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House, as well as taking part in exciting activities like film making and going to the theatre.
  • A week of art activities across every GST school, with the normal timetable suspended and an innovative and exciting programme planned and delivered for every single GST child and young person.
  • Support and training for GST colleagues to develop their own creative skills to better help our children and young people in an ongoing way.
  • A legacy made to help embed these skills and interests in every single activity related to the Griffin Arts Festival and make sure they are free to all of our children and young people.
  • Opportunities for schools to work with unusual, local, high quality artists who act as inspiration to and role models for GST members.

but what you make others see

Help make the difference

GAF is currently solely funded by the schools and GST. It is through the hard work of our staff that GAF has been such a great success.

As GAF grows, we want to sustain the quality of experiences each students receives during the two weeks. By donating to GAF you are helping our students see beyond their immediate surroundings and become exposed to the wonders of classical art.
