Heads Residential Seminar

28/01/2019

Last week saw our fifth annual Heads Residential Seminar; a two-day agenda full of informative and inspirational sessions for Heads and Trust Senior Leaders.

Continuing Professional Development is widely recognised as fundamental to the improvement of standards and skills for individuals and their industries. It is especially seen as an integral part of teacher education as it assures a high level of expertise and enables teachers to keep their professional skills and knowledge up-to-date. GST has a full calendar of CPD opportunities throughout all levels within the Trust and the residential places a focus on leadership.

This year we held our residential seminar in the birthplace of the bard; Stratford-upon-Avon. Thirty-two leaders from across the Trust came together for a variety of sessions including:

  • Women in Leadership: Instruct to Destruct – Crossing the Ethical Line in Welfare
  • Lessons learned from MA to PhD
  • Modus Operandi of the MAT Model
  • Case Study: Human Resources at the Royal Opera House
  • And rather fittingly for our location: Leadership Lessons from Shakespeare’s Henry V by Contender Charlie

All staff left motivated for the spring and summer cycles ahead.
