Congratulations to our choirs from Nicholas Chamberlaine School, Park Lane Primary and Race Leys Juniors who performed with over 2000 performers to honour the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Commonwealth and the communities within it.
At the heart of the evening was the world premiere of Toby Young’s It Takes a City, commissioned by the Armonico Consort and influenced by people from across the Commonwealth. Inspired by the saying, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, pupils were proud to celebrate the importance of community, diversity and individuality amongst families across the world.
What an achievement for our young musicians!
