All GST leaders are focused on bringing whole people into their staff teams, not just filling a specific vacancy. If you join a GST school you will bring your personal interests with you to share with children in our rich extra-curricular programme. The school and the Trust will support you to continue your professional and personal achievements.
We invest in our staff and want to keep them with us as their careers develop and mature. There are many examples of colleagues moving between stages of responsibility at a school or more widely within the Trust, including a Head who started her professional journey with us as a teaching assistant.
Qualify to Teach with Us
With a variety of routes to offer, the Griffin Schools Trust family is looking for talented individuals, like you, to join our teams across 2 secondary schools and 10 primary schools.
For all pupils, staff and wider communities, Griffin aims to foster proud traditions, widen horizons and promote high achievement. Unlike other trusts, what makes us different is our warm, friendly and collaborative approach that will make you feel at home from day one.
The School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme is a one-year teacher-training course designed for graduates who want to pursue an academic and internationally recognised qualification within the school that is right for them.
We have partnered with Teach First to ensure our training is informed by the best possible research and benefits from the platforms and networks unique to Teach First. Your training will be comprised of practical experience, weekly 1:1 mentor meetings, conferences and seminars, experience in two or more schools and subject-specific and pedagogical training (teaching methods). Your training is built around you.
At the end of the programme, you will be awarded both Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
