Lammas joins Griffin Schools Trust

23/11/2018

Almost two years ago the Governors of Lammas made a decision to join the Griffin Schools Trust. Significant delays have included a General Election in 2017 (which halts the DfE approval process) and the complexities of varying a PFI contract.

We are delighted that the legal process has now been completed and that Lammas will join the Griffin family of schools on 1st December 2018. This has been a long time coming but this means we can now proceed with our strong partnership working with Lammas to ensure that, together with Riverley and Willow Brook, we provide the very best education for the children across all 3 schools., With Lammas in the Trust, we have the ability to offer families access for their children to the great additional opportunities provided across the Trust in Science, Sport, Music, Performance and the Arts in general from the age of 3 to 18, setting them up for life.

Lammas shares the values of GST and has grown an impressive community for its young people. We are keen to build on this success and to support Lammas in expanding its Sixth Form provision and facilities. We hope that Lammas very quickly becomes the natural choice of secondary school for our Riverley and Willow Brook families.

The Trust also looks forward to the strong contribution Lammas will make in the collaboration between our three secondary schools to speed their journeys to Great. What do we mean by Great?
