Perry Wood Celebrate World Book Day 2016

The children and staff at Perry Wood took part in celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 3 March by dressing up as their favourite book characters. Tracy Kelly-Freer, Head at Perry Wood, visited each class throughout the day to ‘guess the book’ from the varied and imaginative selection on show.

During assembly, children took part in a book parade where they admired each others costumes, and staff acted out a well known story in a mini-pantomime which enabled the children to participate in plenty of ‘look behind you’ and ‘oh no she didn’t’.

In the week running up to World Book Day, Perry Wood held an Extreme Reading Challenge and the winners were awarded with book tokens.
