The Griffin Arts Festivals 2016 took place from the 27 June – 8 July, and explored the theme ‘Our Journey’.
London Residential
As part of the London Griffin Arts Festival, 20 Sixth Form and Year 11 students, along with 25 members of staff, accompanied the 110 Year 5 students to London and took part in an immersive timetable aimed at enriching their cultural understanding and broadening their artistic heritage. The students and staff camped at Willow Brook Primary where the school was transformed to give a festival feeling.
During the three days, students visited the Tate Modern, The Globe, The Barbican and took part in a tour of ‘Our Cultural Journey’ around iconic landmarks. In the evening, they had the opportunity to take part in theatrical performances and a very special showcase on Thursday evening.
The London Experience video shares the insights of various students involved in the residential and highlights their favourite experiences.

GAF is currently solely funded by the schools and GST. It is through the hard work of our staff that GAF has been such a great success.
As GAF grows, we want to sustain the quality of experiences each students receives during the two weeks. By donating to GAF you are helping our students see beyond their immediate surroundings and become exposed to the wonders of classical art.
